Passenger Assistance, Safety, and Sensitivity (PASS)
CTAA’s Passenger Assistance, Safety, and Sensitivity (PASS) driver training program is the recognized industry standard for ensuring that your passengers are transported in the most safe, most sensitive, and careful manner possible. PASS is ideal for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) trips, for ADA paratransit services, for specialized transit for older passengers, for human and social service riders — really any transportation operation where the passengers require extra care. PASS trained drivers know how to safely and sensitively transport everyone.
CPR/FIRST AID/AED
The course teaches participants how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies to include burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, and back injuries, heat and cold emergencies, breathing and cardiac emergencies The course is designed to help non-medical professionals provide assistance in times of crisis. The goal is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. The course also covers how to use an AED. CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) can help save a life if a person's breathing or heart stops. Training is followed by American Red Cross guidelines
Bloodborne Pathogens
The course covers topics such as how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure, what to do if exposed to infectious material, engineering controls, personal protective equipment, personal hygiene, cleaning and disinfecting equipment and supplies, recognizing, reporting, and following up on employee exposures to infectious materialsThe course is designed for people who are at risk of on-the-job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids. It is intended to fulfill the OSHA requirement to handle situations where an employee might come in contact with a bloodborne pathogen.
